Meet The Owner
Miss Amanda was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She fell in love with dancing at the age of 4 after her mommy put her into her first baby ballet class. Within the next few years she continued dancing and exploring different genres that were offered at her studio. At the age of 8, she decided to give gymnastics a try as she was always asked to do acrobatics in her dance routines. She quickly fell in love with tumbling and was able to use her skills later in her teen and early adult years. Dance continued to be her main focus, and at the age of 14 Amanda was asked to be a lead dance assistant at her studio. Assisting dance classes brought her so much joy that she decided to become an instructor herself. She accepted her first job teaching at a creative arts studio where she was mentored and taught business skills which gave her the confidence she needed to proceed to the next level. She was able to lead their performance team, dance program, and choreograph most of the annual recitals from beginning to end.
While still in high school, Amanda decided to put her tumbling and dance moves to the test and try out for the cheer squad. Having no experience in the cheer field, she found herself on the Varsity Cheer Squad her Sophomore year. She later assisted and taught for a competitive cheer squad in the Vegas Valley.
At the age of 21 she was asked by her home studio to return as an instructor. This was a dream job and an honor to teach where she grew up. She taught there and several other studios around the Vegas Valley for a total of 14 years before her family moved to Hillsboro, Oregon. Since arriving in 2018 she has taught for two other studios in the Hillsboro area, helping them start many new programs. In 2019 she received an opportunity to run her own studio and went for it. The Music Box Creative Arts Studio is her way of providing a place like she had as a child, to escape reality and do what she loved. She hopes to be a blessing to every dancer, tumbler, artist, actor, and cheerleader that enters the doors.
Miss Amanda is married to a wonderful husband who we call Mr. Amanda. Together they have three beautiful kids, Demi, Duke, and Dax. When they are not at the studio you will most likely find them outside on some sort of adventure. They enjoy hiking, swimming, and adventuring through their new home in the PNW.
